Accessibility Statement

Debt Erase Pro is meant to work for everyone, however they see, hear, move or think, and whatever technology they rely on. Here's what we do, the standards we aim for, and who to reach if something stands in your way.

Clause 1

Section 1: Built with everyone in mind

A digital barrier shouldn't be what keeps anyone from a clear look at their options. We want every visitor to get full use of Debt Erase Pro, whatever their abilities, whichever assistive technology they rely on, and however they choose to browse.

Where we fall short of that, we want to hear about it — section 6 covers how.

Clause 2

Section 2: The standards we work toward

We aim for Level AA of WCAG 2.1, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). Those guidelines rest on four principles, usually shortened to POUR:

Perceivable

Information is presented in ways any visitor can take in — text alternatives for images, and enough contrast between text and what sits behind it.

Operable

Every control, and every route through the site, can be worked with a keyboard, a voice, or another input device.

Understandable

Text reads plainly, and the interface behaves the same way each time you meet it.

Robust

Standard markup keeps content working with today's assistive technology, and gives it a fair shot at tomorrow's.

We test the site against these guidelines with automated tools and by hand — checking keyboard use, zoom behavior and color contrast — and act on what we find. We aim to repeat that testing whenever the site changes.

Clause 3

Section 3: What's built into this site

These features are here to support a range of needs and preferences:

Meaningful structureHeadings follow a logical order, pages carry clear landmark regions, and link text says where it leads.
Keyboard accessEverything works without a mouse, focus stays visible, and the request form keeps focus inside it and closes with the Escape key.
Text alternativesImages that carry information get descriptive alt text; purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
Readable contrastText and controls are built to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, and we measure them as part of our checks.
Zoom and reflowPages can be zoomed to 400% — equivalent to a 320-pixel-wide window — and reflow into a single column without sideways scrolling.
Skip links and calmer motionA skip link lets keyboard users jump past the header, and animation switches off for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.
Clause 4

Section 4: Known gaps and work in progress

Level AA is our goal everywhere on this site, though some corners may not be there yet. Here's what we're aware of:

  • The request form is an embedded component from a third-party platform, so parts of its accessibility sit outside our direct control. If you're unable to complete it, call (844) 550-1428 or email [email protected] and we'll work with you to find another way to reach a lender
  • Some links lead to lenders and other outside sites we don't operate, and the accessibility of those pages is up to their own owners
  • We review changes carefully, but a barrier can still slip through when pages are added or updated

Spotted something we haven't listed? Let us know. Every report gets added to our list of improvements.

Clause 5

Section 5: Assistive technology and browsers

We build with the following in mind. We haven't tested every combination of browser and assistive technology out there, so please tell us if something isn't working for you.

  • Screen readersStandard markup, labeled controls and a sensible reading order, built with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android in mind
  • Keyboard onlyEvery feature can be reached from the keyboard alone, standard or extended
  • Voice controlButtons and links carry visible text that matches their accessible name, which suits Apple Voice Control and Dragon NaturallySpeaking
  • Zoom and reflowZooming as far as 400% leaves content in one readable column on phones, tablets and computers alike
  • High contrastButtons and cards keep visible outlines under Windows high-contrast themes

You'll get the best results from an up-to-date copy of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.

Clause 6

Section 6: Tell us what isn't working

If a page, a control or a piece of content is hard to reach or use, call (844) 550-1428 or write to [email protected]. We'll look into it as promptly as we reasonably can and, where possible, arrange a sensible accommodation or an accessible alternative.

It helps to know the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use. Full contact details are just below.
